Against my better judgement, I’m really starting to look forward to SAN ANDREAS. It will be nice to watch a disaster movie on the big screen between all the superhero shenanigans. A new trailer hit last week, and now we can take a look at the latest poster. In the film, Dwayne Johnson must journey through the aftermath of a horrific earthquake in order to find his estranged daughter, as you do.
The latest text dominated poster warns ‘We Always Knew This Day Would Come’, while a massive split tears through the Earth. It’s a simple but powerful image, but perhaps the wording is too much. The same poster with just the title would force people to look a little closer, and just enjoy that slither at the top where a city burns.
Johnson reteams with JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND director, Brad Peyton, for his third feature film. This will be his first feature not specifically aimed at a younger audience, with CATS & DOGS: THE REVENGE OF KITTY GALORE having kicked off his career. It’s quite a leap, but he’s obviously got Johnson in his corner.
SAN ANDREAS is released 29th May and stars Dwayne Johnson, Alexandra Daddario, Carla Gugino, Pauk Giamatti, Colton Haynes, Ioan Gruffudd, and Kylie Minogue.
Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
