Straight out of SXSW 2014, we’ve got the first clip for Jon Favreau’s entertaining CHEF that stars the director as well as Robert Downey Jr and Scarlett Johansson.
Judging by the synopsis, this might be early on in the film as it centres around chef Carl Casper (Favreau) who loses his restaurant job and then starts up a food truck in an effort to reclaim his creative promise, while also trying to piece back together his estranged family.
This clip gives a good sense of the style that the IRON MAN director is going for and not content with doing two massive things, he has also written it as well. There’s incredibly positive feedback coming out of South by Southwest and it’s worth noting the cast ensemble includes Dustin Hoffman, Sofia Vergara, Amy Sedaris, John Leguizamo, Bobby Cannavale, and Oliver Platt as well as those top lead actors. Impressive.
Check it out here:
CHEF opens on the 9th May.
