Intense UK Trailer For Jia Zhangke’s ‘A Touch Of Sin’

Following the success of their recent theatrical titles, LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED, THE HUNT (Our 5-star review here) and A HIJACKING, Arrow Films have announced they are set to release Cannes-award winning crime-thriller, A TOUCH OF SIN (Tian Zhu Ding), in UK cinemas on 16th May 2014 and we’ve got the first intense, absorbing trailer for you.

Having been nominated for the Palme d’Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and going on to win Best Screenplay, the film was inspired by both shocking and true events. Written and directed by Jia Zhangke (STILL LIFE), this reflection on capitalist China focuses on four people, living in four different provinces, who are driven to violent ends and goes with this synopsis:

An angry miner, enraged by the corruption of his village, decides to take justice into his own hands. A rootless migrant discovers the infinite possibilities of owning a firearm; a receptionist working at a local sauna is pushed to the limit by a wealthy client; and a young factory worker goes from one discouraging job to the next, only to face increasingly degrading circumstances.

A TOUCH OF SIN won Best Foreign Language Film at the Toronto Film Critics Association and has been lauded by critics across the world, check out the trailer here:
