Yes, you read that right. Following the excellent IMAX poster we delivered this morning and this week’s earlier “field test” footage, we’ve five brand new clips from ‘the future of law-enforcement’s return to the big-screen.
THE ELITE SQUAD director Jose Padilha’s reboot of the classic sci-fi thriller ROBOCOP is now only a couple of weeks away from release. The Killing‘s Joel Kinnaman is the unfortunate Alex Murphy, a Detroit cop who finds is existence as a loving husband and father shattered when a case follows him home. With his body broken beyond repair, he’s chosen as the test subject of OmniCorp’s Raymond Sellers to become the driving force of his new product – to put a man inside a machine that the US public can rally behind.
ROBOCOP is released in cinemas from the 7th February and co-stars Abbie Cornish, Samuel. L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, Jay Baruchel, Jackie Earl Haley, Jennifer Ehle, Michael K. Williams and Gary Oldman.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
