Debutant director Scott Walker’s forthcoming fact-based serial-killer thriller THE FROZEN GROUND is only weeks away from a UK release. It’s a film charting the 13 year manhunt to unmask the psychopath plying his twisted trade in the Alaskan wilderness. Robert Hansen, played by John Cusack, drugged his female victims and flew them out into to the deserted landscape to hunt them for sport. Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage is the dogged detective who finds Vanessa Hudgens’ escaped survivor could hold the answer.
Alaskan State Trooper Jack Halcombe sets out to end the murderous rampage of Robert Hansen, a serial killer who has gone unnoticed for 13 years. As the bodies of street girls start to pile up in Anchorage, fear strikes a chord with the public. Risking his life, Halcombe goes on a personal manhunt to find the killer before the next body surfaces. When a seventeen year old escapee reveals key information about the case, Halcombe is finally on the trail of the killer. But will he catch him in time to save the next victim?
The impressive supporting cast also includes Dean Norris, Radha Mitchell, Katherine LaNasa, Kevin Dunn, Curtis Jackson and Kurt Fuller.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
