New Stills From Cage & Cusack Thriller ‘The Frozen Ground’

The forthcoming fact-based serial-killer thriller THE FROZEN GROUND will delve into the depraved mind of Alaskan psychopath Robert Hansen in the directorial debut of Scott Walker. John Cusack is the horn-rimmed bespectacled beast, infamous for flying his victims to the Alaskan wilderness and setting them free. Only to later hunt them down like wild animals as they tried to escape the rough conditions. Playing the obsessive detective in hot pursuit is Nicolas Cage, who, with the help of Vanessa Hudgens’ surviving hooker Cindy Paulsen, is determined to track him down.

The terrific supporting cast also includes Dean Norris, Radha Mitchell, Kevin Dunn and Kurt Fuller. Oh and 50 f**king Cent. It’s released in UK cinemas from 19th July, with an August 23 date for theaters and VOD in the US. Check out these latest stills just below the official synopsis. Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
