We’re hearing great things about the brand new musical of CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, which is now in previews at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in the heart of London’s West End. We’ve just received three brand new production images from the show, which you can find below. You can really gauge the sheer scale of this production from these images, and you even get a peek at Douglas Hodge as Willy Wonka himself.
The superb cast also includes Nigel Planer as Grandpa Joe, Clive Carter as Mr Salt, Jasna Ivir as Mrs Gloop, Paul J Medford as Mr Beauregarde, Iris Roberts as Mrs Teavee, Billy Boyle as Grandpa George, Roni Page as Grandma Josephine and Myra Sands as Grandma Georgina.
Here’s the new pics, followed by a video featurette featuring interviews with Sam Mendes and behind the scenes production footage. Can’t wait to see this.
This world premiere musical is produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures, Neal Street Productions and Langley Park Productions.
The musical’s opening night is June 25th at Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
