We’ve uncovered a wealth of brand new content for J.J. Abrams upcoming sci-fi sequel STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS. The follow-up comes around three and a half years after Abrams’ well received reboot from 2009 and sees the crew of the Starship Enterprise up against the former Federation spy John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch), who has seemingly gone rogue with a number of devastating terrorism acts.
Check out this limited IMAX poster, which will be giving to attendees of the US midnight screenings. We also have another clip with Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock’s (Zachary Qunito) introduction to Carol Marcus (Alice Eve) as well as a new television spot and featurette focusing on Simon Pegg’s Scotty.
STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS will be released in the UK on 9th May and in the US on the 17th May. It co-stars Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Peter Weller and Noel Clarke.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
