Kim Jee Woon’s THE LAST STAND and Park Chan Wook’s STOKER have already impressed this year, and yet we are still awaiting the arrival of Bong Joon Ho’s English language debut, SNOWPIERCER. Newly released are these imaginative cast and crew info files presented in the form of passports. The film is based on a French graphic novel, in which the last remaining human survivors of a second ice-age live on a train that is always on the move. Unfortunately, the inhabitants of said train are split into different social classes and a rebellion from the lower classes is looming. Bong Joon Ho has given us three indisputable classics in MEMORIES OF MURDER, THE HOST, and MOTHER, so this is a very exciting prospect. Especially when you take into account the international cast.
SNOWPIERCER is yet to receive a release date, but should be approaching around summer. It stars Chris Evans, Song Kang Ho, Octavia Spencer, Jamie Bell, Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris, John Hurt, Ewen Bremner, Ko Ah Sung, and Alison Pill.
