With a potential EVIL DEAD 4 on the way with the original trilogy director Sam Raimi expected to return, the sheer anticipation in the franchise has never been so high. Throw in Fede Alvarez’ upcoming reboot, which looks intensely terrifying and stomach-churning at the same time, and the EVIL DEAD name is looking healthier than ever.
Alvarez’ film is set to possess cinemas from the 5th April in the US and UK on the 12th April, as Raimi’s story is given a serious, modern spin with four friends travelling to the cabin in the woods to help one of them with a drug and alcohol detox. That is until the notorious Necronomicon is discovered in the basement, bringing with it the soul-swallowing Deadites.
Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Jessica Lucas, Elizabeth Blackmore and Lou Taylor Pucci star and earlier today we debuted the first TV spot and now we’ve a brand new one featuring new footage.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
