Chris Hemsworth is now a fully fledged superstar, after his role as hammer-swinging demi-God THOR landed in cinemas in 2010. He reprised the role for record-breaking superhero smash-up AVENGERS ASSEMBLE in the early summer months and he’s currently shooting the sequel to Kenneth Branagh’s franchise opener here in the UK (this time helmed by GAME OF THRONES regular Alan Taylor).
Earlier this week we brought you this exclusive first image of a crimson-coloured villain (expected to be Algrim The Strong, as played by Adeale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), as well as a number of other images of Christopher Ecclestone’s main big-bad Malekith and his army. Now we can show you some new video footage and images of Thor in battle with Ecclestone’s evildoer.
THOR: THE DARK WORLD co-stars Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins. It will open on 8th November 2013.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
