We recently showed you the first poster for the Kimberly Peirce remake of the Brian De Palma classic, CARRIE, and now here is the first teaser trailer. CARRIE is the tale of an isolated and bullied young girl who develops telekinetic powers and wreaks havoc on her town. Chloe Grace Moretz stars as Carrie and Julianne Moore is her overbearing mother.
The trailer is fantastic, and personally I think this should be the only trailer. A camera pans over a small town which has encountered great devastation. Firs are ablaze everywhere and voice-overs give an eerie retrospective documentary feel, the kind you hear on true crime shows. Finally we come across a young girl covered in blood, standing among the flames.
CARRIE is released 5th April 2013. It stars Chloe Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde, Alex Russell, and Michelle Nolden.
