Pencil in Friday 1st May 2015 as Disney have revealed this to be the official release date for THE AVENGERS 2. That’s still not the confirmed title but screw it. Joss Whedon is returning to direct as well as helping to guide the other Phase 2 films in the direction of THE AVENGERS 2. So this is what the Marvel calendar looks like for the next 3 years.
3rd May 2013 – IRON MAN 3
8th November 2013 – THOR: THE DARK WORLD
4th April 2014 – CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
1st August 2014 – GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
1st May 2015 – THE AVENGERS 2
WOOOOO! That’s a lot of excitement. And let’s not forget the Marvel universe TV show Whedon is also developing. With THE AVENGERS still playing in some cinemas at the moment and a DVD/Blu-ray release next month the Marvel train looks to be unstoppable. I like the fact they are all spread out nicely. It sounds as though the likes of ANT-MAN wont be coming until after THE AVENGERS 2, but they may be able to fit it in. With the rights to DAREDEVIL also getting very close to reverting back to Marvel, this is a very exciting time to be a fan of comic book films.

His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
