Red Band Trailer for ‘Bachelorette’

We’ve seen the innocent trailer for THE BACHELORETTE, and even then people screamed that it was trying too hard to be like THE BRIDESMAIDS. Now with the arrival of the red band trailer, more likenesses can be seen to SUPERBAD, or any other movie which relies on semen and women detailing their sex-lives for a laugh.

The movie tells the story of a wild bachelorette party without the bachelorette (doesn’t sound like THE HANGOVER at all) and how the bridesmaids cope with the least attractive member of their gang being the first to get married.

After the SPIDER MAN trilogy Kirsten Dunst appeared in smaller flicks like MELANCHOLIA and ALL GOOD THINGS and is now making a come back to what I’m sure the studio is hoping will be the biggest chick flick of the year. Is this a movie I want to see? Not really. Will I see it? Probably, and then only to see Aussie born Rebel Wilson, who went from one liner appearances in movies and TV-shows to the central role in a women-led comedy. The discussion of overly crude jokes, and the sexual overcompensation in female comedy is becoming highly boring, almost as boring as the comedy itself.

BACHELORETTE is written and directed by  Leslye Headland and stars Kristen Dunst, Isla Fisher, Lizzy Caplan, Rebel Wildon and James Marsden. The movie will hit theaters in September. Check out the trailer and see for yourself if it’s worth your time.
