THE HILLS HAVE EYES and PIRANHA 3D director Alexandre Aja appears to have found the lead for his forthcoming fright-flick HORNS. The film will be based on Joe Hill’s (son of legendary horror scribe Stephen King) same-titled novel in which the character of 26 year-old Ig Perrish awakens one morning to find he’s sprouted some unsightly pointy additions – bringing with them some diabolical powers of their own. Their arrival comes not long after his girlfriend is found raped and murdered.
Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, will take the lead of Perrish, a role previously touted for Shia LaBeouf. Radcliffe’s emotional turn as Arthur Kipps in the chilling horror THE WOMAN IN BLACK certainly showed he’s more than capable of holding a film on his own, outside the boy-wizard franchise. The box-office gross was also impressive, with the James Watkins-directed film seemingly at No.1 for months.
THN will bring you more casting info and shooting/release dates as soon as they’re announced.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
