WB Making A Guinness Book Of World Records Movie!

I’m not quite sure how they’re going to do it, but they’re going to do it. That’s Warner Brothers that I’m referring to, and what they’re going to do is make a big screen version of THE GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS, according to sources this morning.

The word is that they are going to adapt the non-fiction annual into an adventure narrative, and Danny Chun, he from THE OFFICE (US) stable of talented writers, has been brought on board to adapt it.

The book has been on our shelves every year for 55 years now, and its history stems all of the way back to the 1950’s. Sir Hugh Beaver, along with  Norris and Ross McWhirter were the founding fathers of the book, which always, without fail, managed to find its way into my stocking every Christmas as a kid.

I’m guessing that the film will be about the founding of the book and the adventures of the initial fact finding. Or somthing like that…
