Nick Nolte (48 HOURS) may of had a quiet period in the Nineties but now he’s back with a vengeance joining THE GANGSTER SQUAD.
Nolte plays the uncorrupted Police Chief, Bill Parker, who puts together the ‘gangster squad’ to take down the Mob boss Mickey Cohen played by Sean Penn (THE TREE OF LIFE). Whilst this is not the first role the actor has had over the last ten years, it’s certainly one of the most high-profile since HULK.
Directed by Ruben Fleischer (ZOMBIELAND) and adapted by the writer of CASTLE, Will Beal, from a series of articles by Paul Lieberman. Nolte joins a huge cast including Emma Stone (EASY A), Ryan Gosling (BLUE VALENTINE), Josh Brolin (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN), Giovanni Ribisi (AVATAR), Michael Pena (EVERYTHING MUST GO), Mireille Enos (THE KILLING) and many others.
THE GANGSTER SQUAD is out 2013.
Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
