According to Variety, Morgan Freeman is in talks with Summit Entertainment regarding a role in their upcoming NOW YOU SEE ME. If Freeman (who is also set to appear in next year’s THE DARK KNIGHT RISES) joins the thriller, he will co-star alongside Jesse Eisenberg, Melanie Laurent, Mark Ruffalo, and Amanda Seyfried.
NOW YOU SEE ME, directed by Louis Leterrier (THE INCREDIBLE HULK), follows a battle of wits between the FBI and group of magicians who stage bank heists during their performances, and are always one step ahead of the law. Eisenberg plays the arrogant but brilliant leader of the magicians, with Mark Ruffalo heading up the opposing FBI squad. Freeman would reportedly take the role of an aging illusionist cast from the inner circle for revealing magicians secrets.
The film is set for a 2014 release.
