After the success of TWILIGHT you just knew that Stephanie Meyer’s previous novel was going to get a cinematic adaptation. THE HOST sees Earth overrun by aliens known as Souls, which take over our minds. However, one girl manages to resist the takeover of her mind and the Soul that inhabits her mind becomes intrigued by her memories of a boy named Jared. Of course there just had to be romance in there somewhere, but let’s hope this wont do for Bodysnatchers what TWILIGHT did for vampires. This latest poster focuses on the character of Ian, played by Jake Abel.
THE HOST is released 22nd March in the UK and 29th March in the US. It stars Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, William Hurt, Jake Abel, Max Irons, and Frances Fisher.
