The upcoming horror film NURSE 3D may not be exactly what the ANIMANIACS had in mind, but the posters are certainly controversial and brilliant. The first sees the star Paz de la Huerta naked and covered in blood and the second sees a mans lips kissing a nipple. Due to how hard it was to find an uncensored version of the second poster you’d think that women didn’t have nipples. It’s also obviously more acceptable to show women covered in blood than having their nipples kissed.
Director Douglas Aarniokoski believes the final film will live up to these controversial posters:
NURSE is a crazy thriller in the vein of FATAL ATTRACTION and BLACK SWAN set in a hospital. Paz De La Huerta is a wildcat and she plays a crazy character. I hope the movie lives up to those posters, I feel that it does. The inspiration for the posters is based on the movie that we shot. There’s a lot of blood, there’s a lot of sex, a lot of guts and a lot of fun. It’s as advertised.
The film certainly has my interest. These posters do exactly what they are supposed to do but I doubt you’ll be seeing them in your local multiplex anytime soon.
NURSE 3D is waiting for a release date as Lionsgate and Summit join together. It stars Paz de la Huerta, Judd Nelson, Katrina Bowden, Corbin Bleu, and Boris Kodjoe.
