THE PROTOTYPE has just had a pretty lengthy teaser trailer released. The film comes from production company The Bandito Brothers, who had a surprise smash with ACT OF VALOR this year. The film follows a scientist that turns himself into a half-man, half robot hybrid, after his lab is attacked by a military team.
The robot itself looks exactly like Kroenen from HELLBOY (2004). There isn’t too much to go on at this stage, as I believe this is simply a trailer to ‘test the waters’ and encourage investors. Principle photography is yet to begin. The trailer wasn’t supposed to be released until the 4th of July but with a lot of buzz being generated already, it wont take long for this to get the backing it needs.
THE PROTOTYPE is directed by Andrew Will and stars Neal McDonough, Joseph Mawle, and Anna Anissimova.
