Ice Age: Continental Drift Trailer Reveals Dinklage As Villain

Everyone’s favourite whacky woolly mammoth, Manny, is back with his degenerate band of brothers, Sid and Diego, in ICE AGE: CONTINENTAL DRIFT, and the new trailer below acquaints us with their latest enemy; an orangutan pirate by the name of Captain Gutt (voiced by the delightful Peter Dinklage). The fourth adventure in the franchise sees the break-up of the world’s ancient super-continent, Pangaea, into the six  – or seven, depending on where you were taught – continents we have today. This inevitably spells trouble for our furry friends, who find themselves separated and far from home.

The film sees the return of voice actors, Ray Romano, Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, and Sean William Scott in their recurring roles, as well as the character that makes the ICE AGE franchise so popular: Scrat (voiced by Chris Wedge) and his precious, though increasingly illusive, nut. Furthermore, Dinklage (THE STATION AGENT) is joined by fellow newcomers, Alan Tudyk (SERENITY), Nick Frost (ATTACK THE BLOCK), Jennifer Lopez (THE BACK-UP PLAN), Aziz Ansari (PARKS AND RECREATION), and Kunal Nayyar (THE BIG BANG THEORY), amongst others.

ICE AGE: CONTINENTAL DRIFT is due for release in the UK on 13th July.
