The Walter Salles adaptation of the generation defining novel by Jack Kerouac, ON THE ROAD, does not yet have a distributor, but eager as we are we’re always after a taste of what’s hopefully to come. Luckily for us the film’s official facebook page has provided us with a brand new poster and some impressive images featuring the cast in the foreground of some spectacular settings.
Plot wise, the film follows Sal Paradise (Sam Riley) who speaks on an unyielding drive to explore and experience the world. Joining him is his friend, Dean (Garrett Hedlund) and love interest at intervals Marylou (Kristen Stewart) who urge him to see America in all its glory.
ON THE ROAD also stars Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Tom Sturridge, Danny Morgan and Elisabeth Moss and is expected to premiere in Cannes.
