Premiering in the UK at the Sundance London event in June is the brilliant Sasquatch Sunset from the brilliant Zellner brothers. I was lucky enough to catch this truly unique film at the Berlinale back in February and instantly fell in love with it.
Riley Keough and Jesse Eisenberg lead the cast of the film which will be released nationwide into cinemas through Icon on 14th June.
As well as the UK trailer be also have the domestic poster.
Beginning in the misty forests of North America, a family of Sasquatches – possibly the last of their enigmatic kind – will embark on an absurdist, epic, hilarious, and ultimately poignant journey. Over the course of a year these shaggy and noble giants fight for survival as they find themselves on a collision course with the ever-changing world around them.
Sasquatch Sunset won’t be for all, but for those looking for something very different in a climate of repetitive movie output, you can’t go far wrong with this very funny, quirky, idiosyncratic cracker of a film.
I reviewed the film at the Berlinale and had the above to say. You can catch my full, very positive review here.
Here’s the trailer.
