Formally a vehicle for TRAINING DAY’s Antoine Fuqua to direct and Bruce Willis to headline. Now THE TOMB is currently without a director but with Sylvester Stallone taking the role Willis was set to play, it appears another huge action star could possibly team-up. Arnold Schwarzenegger is rumoured to be set to join his EXPENDABLES co-star in the actioner involving a prison break.
There is no word on what role the TERMINATOR actor could portray, but Stallone will play Ray Breslin, a specialist in structural security for maximum security prisons. Unfortunately, Breslin is framed for murder and is sent to one of the very prisons he knows so much about – the notorious ‘Tomb’. Which comes in handy when he decides to escape and hunt those responsible for his predicament.
Stallone is all to familiar with the genre of action films set in a prison after TANGO AND CASH and LOCK-UP. Lets hope a director is found soon, because this sounds like it could be a fun action-thriller, if executed right. The two mega-stars will appear in THE EXPENDABLES 2 . They both have separate starring big-hitters due this year. Scwarzenegger will make his return as lead in THE LAST STAND and Stallone will headline Walter Hill’s BULLET TO THE HEAD.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
