Vin Diesel has revealed via his Facebook channels that director Justin Lin and co-star Jordana Brewster are turning for the upcoming Fast & Furious sequels, which we presume to be episodes 9 and 10, and not the highly publicised Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham spin-off.
“You wanted 9 and 10 to be incredible. We’ve heard your concerns about the saga and where it needs to arrive in its final chapters,” Diesel said in his most recent Facebook video, which was posted late Wednesday to his social media platforms.
Brewster plays the character of Mia Torretto in the ‘Fast’ movies and was last seen in Fast & Furious 7.
The next Fast & Furious movie is not due until April 10, 2020, and before that, we’ll get to see an untitled spinoff featuring Hobbs and Deckard on July 26, 2019. The Johnson and Statham characters appeared in this past summer’s Fast & Furious 8, which was titled The Fate Of The Furious Stateside.
There has been no official confirmation on either Lin’s hiring as director for any of the upcoming projects, or Brewster’s addition to the cast, but you can check out Diesel’s Facebook live video below.
