Danny Elfman will create the score for the Justice League soundtrack, so reports The Hollywood Reporter. The fact that Elfman is the Justice League composer is big news as he is obviously the man behind the superb DC movie soundtracks Batman (1988), its follow-up Batman Returns, and more recently The Flash TV series.
Justice League composer revealed to be Danny Elfman
Justice League is now going through some additional shooting in London with Joss Whedon taking over directing duties from Zack Snyder, who recently stepped down. Whedon himself has worked with Elfman before of course – he provided the soundtrack for Whedon’s second Avengers movie, Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
The Justice League composer was set to be Junkie XL, aka Tom Holkenborg, who of course worked on previous DC movie Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice last year. The word is now that he will move across to Marvel to score the Warner Bros. Pictures and MGM‘s video game adaptation Tomb Raider. That film has just recently wrapped shooting with Alicia Vikander in the lead role as Lara Croft.
Justice League, is written by Chris Terrio from a story by Zack Snyder and Terrio. It stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, with J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Ciarán Hinds will play Steppenwolf, Amber Heard will appear as Mera, and Kiersey Clemons will appear as Iris West.
The movie is set to be released in cinemas globally this November. What do you think of Danny Elfman’s installation as Justice League composer?
