Three more have joined the cast of Escape Plan 2, the Steven C. Miller-directed action sequel currently in development. The three are Dave Bautista, Jaime King and 50 Cent, who join the already cast Sylvester Stallone, who reprises his role as Ray Breslin, the structural engineer who was incarcerated in the world’s most secret and secure prison, aided in his escape by fellow inmate Emil Rottmayer, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
There’s no word on whether Schwarzenegger will return for the sequel, but he is allegedly in talks to join.
In the sequel, King has signed to on to play Abigail Ross, while 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) will reprise his role as Hush. Bautista joins in an unknown role.
Shooting will commence later this year but plot details are being kept under wraps for now. The original film took $137 million across the world, the majority of which came from China, so expect an influence to be present in the new movie.
We’ll bring you more as it comes our way.
