Legendary character actor Willem Dafoe is looking to join the cast of Kenneth Branagh‘s adaptation of Murder On The Orient Express.
The film, based on the Agatha Christie novel, is steaming towards a cinemas with Branagh directing and co-starring.
Murder on the Orient Express is the most famous Hercule Poirot mystery, which has the brilliant detective hunting for a killer aboard one of the world s most luxurious passenger trains.
The film boasts an impressive cast that includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Michael Pena, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Josh Gad, Leslie Odom Jr. and Tom Bateman.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Dafoe will play Mr. Hardman, a passenger on the train who says he sells typewriting ribbons, but may have a deeper tie to the murder victim.
Branagh will play the lead as the detective Poirot. Production has already started in London with an expected time of arrival set for 2018.
