Whatever you believe happened with Amanda Knox and the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher in 2007, this new Netflix documentary is literally inviting you into her world with their tag-line: Suspect her. Believe her. See the other side.
The somewhat unsettling trailer gives a little insight into their exclusive interviews with Knox plus her former co-defendant and ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, Italian prosecutor Giuliano Mignini and Daily Mail reporter Nick Pisa. I can’t say I fully understand what actually happened to this day, especially when even the Italian courts twice convicted and acquitted her.
The decade-long case has certainly been offered a lot of public attention and although I’m not sure what I’ll think once we see it hit Netflix on September 30th, I am sure that it won’t be your usual straight-forward viewing and will surely drag the whole saga back into the mainstream.
Take a watch below…
Amanda Knox makes its world premiere at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival on September 9 and will launch globally on Netflix on September 30th.
