Ridley Scott is showing no signs of slowing down post-Alien: Covenant as he has just landed his next directing gig. The legendary British filmmaker will tackle S. Craig Zahler’s western novel Wraiths of the Broken Land, which is set-up over at 20th Century Fox.
Drew Goddard is adapting the source material. The story follows a group of men who assemble together and storm across the badlands to find their captive sisters, doing anything they deem necessary to achieve their goal. Lives, ethics and sanity are imperiled during the wild, brutal struggle that ensues and nobody is safe.
Scott is tied up for the rest of the year (at least) with the Prometheus sequel that is Alien: Covenant, which is now shooting in Australia.
The book’s writer Zahler, recently wrote and directed the superb Bone Tomahawk, which debuted earlier in the year to much acclaim.
