We had the first trailer for Whiskey Tango Foxtrot a few weeks ago – catch up by clicking here – and now we’ve got a more ‘group’ photo for the upcoming comedy-drama set on the front line of journalism in Afghanistan.
Based on the book The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan by Kim Barker, war journalism is an interesting line-in for everyone involved but I’ve got this feeling they’re out to do it well, and give the subject their own twist. Written by Robert Carlock (Fey’s writing partner/showrunner for 30 Rock et all), it’s directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the film stars Tina Fey, Margot Robbie and Martin Freeman.
Here’s the new poster:
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot opens on 22 April.
