Ali Larter Returning For ‘Resident Evil: The Final Chapter’

Ali Larter. After almost three years since the release of Resident Evil: Retribution, production is finally ramping up on the sixth instalment in the survival-Horror franchise. Paul W.S. Anderson and series star Milla Jovovich are currently prepping for the upcoming South African-shoot in Cape Town. However, it seems that (as expected) fans can hope to see some familiar faces before the ‘Final Chapter’ hits theatres next year.

Although some moviegoers will obviously not share my excitement and enthusiasm for Resident Evil, it’s clear that after thirteen years, five films and almost a billion dollars at the worldwide box office…the franchise certainly has its fair share of fans.

Now, it has been announced that Heroes and Legends star Ali Larter will be reprising her role as Claire Redfield! Larter previously played the character in the third and fourth entries of the series (Extinction and Afterlife), before sitting out Resident Evil: Retribution in 2012. It will undoubtedly please fans to see past characters make their (presumably) final appearances before the credits roll on the next film. However, Larter’s Claire Redfield is almost certainly at the top of the list of fan-favourites, with her portrayal of the video game character remaining one of the most faithful to date.

With online speculation also placing Wentworth Miller, Sienna Guillory and many more as potential returnees for the sequel, it will be exciting to see just who makes the cut for Anderson’s last film. Filming is expected to begin shortly, so there should be plenty more casting announcements over the next few weeks! Here’s hoping Miller can clear some time in his busy Flash and Legends of Tomorrow schedule for one more round of Zombie-action!
