As if the return of Marvel’s Agents Of Shield wasn’t enough for us, those kind people at Marvel Studios have also ramped up the excitement for upcoming AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON with some new clips and interviews.
Giving an introduction to two of the latest additions to Marvel’s cinematic universe, this minute-long TV spot focuses on troubled twins Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), or Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch as they’re better known.
Showcasing the pairs’ impressive talents and highlighting their tragic backstory, the featurette doesn’t give too much away (despite hinting at possible narrative points) but serves as a solid introduction to two of Marvel’s longest serving characters.
As you’ll no doubt know by now, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON follows the rise of evil machine Ultron (voiced by James Spader), his threat to humanity and the efforts of the titular team of superheroes to stop him.
With Joss Whedon directing and Avengers members Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) all returning to the fray, not to mention the likes of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury in the mix, the film looks set to burst with talent and we look like we’re in for a treat.
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is set for release on 23rd April 2015.
