This second trailer for DRACULA UNTOLD seems to be spinning the yarn similar to BATMAN BEGINS but on the flip-side of those choices between right and wrong, or how far a man will go…
Complete with his super-bat powers, Luke Evan’s Dracula is revealed to be mighty handy with taking out armies of hundreds in order to save his friends and family, but only after he’s visited a crazy-looking dude (Charles Dance) who’s making him drink blood and promises him ‘real’ answers…am I taking it seriously enough yet?
I love a bit of Dracula but currently I’m not entirely convinced of the point behind Gary Shore’s directorial debut feature beyond a whole host of influences from 300 to [klaxon] UNDERWORLD and its all wrapped up in a new origin story. One thing I’ll say is visually it looks pretty stunning, with that edge of Snyder going on but whether this is enough to drag the crowds in we’ll see.
On the positive side, Luke Evans looks mean, focused and fighting for the cause and those mass bat sequences will surely be impressive on the big screen. Take a watch of the new trailer below, and some stills – just for you folk:
DRACULA UNTOLD opens on 3rd October, it co-stars Luke Evans, Dominic Cooper, Sarah Gadon and Charles Dance.
