30 million. That’s how many copies of the various books in the Paddington Bear series that have sold around the world since the first one was published in 1958. They have been translated into 30 languages and this year, a CGI/live-action feature film heads into cinemas with Colin Firth voicing the famous, marmalade loving, duffle-coat-wearing bundle of fur, and today the Telegraph have given us our first look at the character posing outside Buckingham Palace in PADDINGTON.
The film is full of legendary British talent, with Julie Walters playing Mrs. Bird , Jim Broadbent playing Mr Gruber, and future Doctor Who Peter Capaldi assuming the roled of Mr. Curry. The film also stars Sally Hawkins as Mrs. Mary Brown and Nicole Kidman as the evil taxidermist Millicent.
