After making her smouldering, skin-tight Marvel debut in the thrilling ensemble blockbuster AVENGERS ASSEMBLE, Cobie Smulders cameoed in the sleep-inducing pilot for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is also back for next summer’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. Now, she has unsurprisingly confirmed her character of S.H.I.E.L.D. deputy director Agent Maria Hill will also return for THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.
I think I’m in Avengers 2, but it is very top secret. I hope I’m in Avengers 2. I didn’t get my invitation yet. Well, actually, they know I’m in it but they don’t know to what degree I’m in it. I am really excited to read the script because they are introducing Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the Avengers universe and the bad guy is going to be very interesting.
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON will reunite the awesome foursome of Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) as they take on the robotic menace of the sub-title, played by the brilliant James Spader. It’s set for cinemas 1st May 2015. Production will begin spring 2014 with Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson confirmed as those aforementioned newcomers Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.
