Only a few days ago did we learn the full main supporting cast of the biopic of Alan Turing and now filming is underway in London for THE IMITATION GAME. The fact-based drama is led by the brilliant British thespian Benedict Cumberbatch as the historical war hero famed for breaking the German Enigma Code. Subsequently leading us to an end to World War II. Not wanting to spoil the conclusion of the finished film but it’s well known the British Establishment brought shame on themselves by later prosecuting Turing for being homosexual and in-turn leading to his tragic suicide.
We have the first look at the STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS actor as the pioneer of computer science in the film which co-stars Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Mark Strong, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, Allen Leech, Vanessa Kirby and Matthew Beard.
THE IMITATION GAME is expected in cinemas next year.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
