Coming from acclaimed DOWNFALL director Oliver Hirschbiegel, the sure-to-be-controversial biopic of the late Princess Of Wales sees Oscar-nominee Naomi Watts as DIANA. The film focuses on the final two years of the tragic former Royal, during her secretive relationship with surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan, through to her crusading fight against land mines. We’re still unsure if the events of that horrific accident which claimed her life is to be depicted but I’d be surprised if they were.
We’ve the brand new UK quad with Watts looking rather uncanny as the English rose for the film co-starring Naveen Andrews, Douglas Hodge, Geraldine James, Juliet Stevenson and Art Malik. There is currently no US release details but it’s set for UK cinemas from 20th September.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
