Director James Wan’s supernatural smash INSIDIOUS was highly effective until it’s final third went off the rails. The most profitable film of 2011, certainly in terms of budget to box-office, was always going to return to reap more rewards and so Wan and frequent acting and writing collaborator Leigh Whannell, bring back the whole cast for more haunted mayhem as the Lambert family uncover a mysterious childhood secret that explains their dangerous connection to the spirit world.
Check out this teaser promo image for the spooky sequel set to scare cinemagoers from the 13th September. It again stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Ty Simpkins, Linn Shaye, Barbara Hershey, Angus Sampson and Whannell. INSIDIOUS: CHAPTER TWO will also be the second scare story to be directed and released by Wan this year, as fact-based horror THE CONJURING (also led by Wilson), will posses theatres this summer.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
