Yes, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK was pretty much bloated bollocks but I do love me some of Vin Diesel as the cool-as-f**k Richard B. Riddick. The character’s first outing, PITCH BLACK, is one of my all-time favourite sci-fi thrillers, so when Diesel and director David Twohy said threequel, RIDDICK, would get back to basics, I was sold!
The film hits theatres on the 6th September with it co-starring Karl Urban, Jordi Molla, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Dave Bautista, Conrad Pla, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Funk and Keri Hilson. It sees the sight-adjusted serial-killer left for dead on a sun-scorched, monster-filled planet. However, he soon hatches a plot that will lead to the universes top bounty hunters making their way to hunt his head… but our hulking antihero has other ideas.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
