Still, they put butts on seats and that success saw Disney put a whole lot of faith (and a whole chunk of change) in directer Gore Verbinski for a big-budget adaptation of western icon, THE LONE RANGER. Despite many believing the western is a dying genre.
Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer play Native American sidekick Tonto and the heroic title character respectively. The duo lead an impressive supporting cast, which includes Tom Wilkinson, Ruth Wilson, William Fichtner, James Badge Dale and THN fave Barry Pepper.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
