A teaser trailer has been released for the upcoming Peacock series Those About To Die. Robert Rodat wrote the new series with Independence Day and 2012 director Roland Emmerich at the helm. It is based upon the book by Daniel P. Mannix.
The cast also includes Tom Hughes, Iwan Rheon, Jojo Macari, Liraz Charhi, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Rupert Penry-Jones, Emilio Sakraya, Eneko Sagardoy, Pepe Barroso, Gonçalo Almeida, Kyshan Wilson, Alicia Edogamhe, Sara Martins, David Wurawa, Gabriella Pession, Dimitri Leonidas, Romana Maggiora Vergano and Moe Hashim.
Those About To Die is an epic drama set in the corrupt world of the spectacle-driven gladiatorial competition, exploring a side of ancient Rome never before told — the dirty business of entertaining the masses, giving the mob what they want most…blood and sport. The series introduces an ensemble of characters from all corners of the Roman Empire who collide at the explosive intersection of sports, politics, and dynasties.
Emmerich also shared a poster for the series which you can check out above. The series will debut on the streaming service on 18th July.
