First look at Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Megalopolis’ film

Check out this very first logo art for Francis Ford Coppola’s big-budgeted Megalopolis, which is set to come to screens later this year.

Not much is known about the film as yet as plot details are being kept massively under wraps. What we do know is that it is set in the future, specifically in New York City.

This from Wikipedia: In New York, a woman, Julia Cicero, is divided between loyalties to her father, Frank, who has a classical view of society, and her architect lover, Caesar, who is more progressive and ready for the future. He wants to rebuild New York City as a utopia following a devastating disaster.

It has quite the cast, including Adam Driver, Aubrey Plaza, Giancarlo Esposito, Laurence Fishburne, Chloe Fineman, Dustin Hoffman, Shia LaBeouf, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jason Schwartzman and Jon Voight. Filming concluded in March of 2023 with post-production being carried out since then.

I’m expecting this one to pop at one of the major festivals this year – if not Cannes, then definitely Venice. Obviously nothing confirmed as yet but we’ll obviously keep you posted.

Here’s that initial artwork that has us all so very excited at this early stage.
