‘Love Actually’ 20th anniversary releases planned

Over the past 24 hours we have received two separate emails in regards to 20th anniversary Love Actually celebration releases. The first comes stateside and a new 4K of the beloved Christmas movie, originally released in 2003. No idea if the release is set for the UK as yet, but we’re presuming so as this is obviously a big birthday for the Richard Curtis comedy classic we just cannot get enough of every holiday season.

Funny, irresistible, and heartwarming, Love Actually is the ultimate romantic comedy that follows eight couples whose lives intersect shortly before Christmas. From the makers of Bridget Jones’s Diary and Notting Hill, this beloved film is headlined by an incredible roster of stars including Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightley, Rowan Atkinson and more. Take a breathtaking tour of love’s delightful twists and turns as you fall under the spell of Love Actually and share the laughs and charm again and again!

I don’t have any information in regards to bonus bits for this 4K release, other than the box art below, which is bound to be welcomed with open arms.

Elsewhere, and this is for the UK market, is a 20-track double coloured LP set featuring the movie’s original soundtrack and new sleeve notes from the movie’s writer and director Richard Curtis.

To be released on 17 November, the double-LP set in red and clear vinyl features an eclectic mix of up-tempo pop hits, romantic ballads and Christmas classics from artists including Girls Aloud, Norah Jones, Texas, Joni Mitchell, Otis Redding, The Beach Boys, Gabrielle and more, alongside three tracks from composer Craig Armstrong’s enchanting film score.

We have a look at the sleeve art below.

More on both of these as news comes in.
