Following a debut at TIFF’s legendary Midnight Madness strand, possession horror When Evil Lurks has been confirmed for a UK cinema release through Vertigo Releasing in October. It will then head to Shudder after. You can watch the latest When Evil Lurks trailer below.
Demián Rugna (Terrified) directs Ezequiel Rodríguez, Demián Salomón, Luis Ziembrowski in the forthcoming feature. The film revolves around residents of a small rural town who discover that a demon is about to be born among them. They desperately try to escape before the evil is born, but it may be too late.

This one also premiered at the recent Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, where we caught it. Our own Kat Hughes caught the film and reviewed it positively.
Whereas Terrified was slow and considered, When Evil Lurks is hectic and chaotic (in a good way). The two films work as personifying the two wolves that reside within Rugna. Although When Evil Lurks might not lead to as many sleepless nights as Terrified, it is a sure-fire hit for goo and gore lovers.
Sounds great. You can check out the When Evil Lurks trailer below and our full review at the end of the link above.
