Disney+ has released a full trailer for The Full Monty TV series that will arrive in June. Set more than 25 years after the award-winning nineties movie about a group of normal blokes-turned-strippers in the English city of Sheffield, the series welcomes back Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Lesley Sharp, Hugo Speer, Paul Barber, Steve Huison, Wim Snape and Tom Wilkinson.
The original film’s writer Simon Beaufoy also returns with producer Uberto Pasolini. No specific story details but, looking at the trailer, it looks like this might be a comeback story for the boys’, but it also looks as if it will be more of a human story catching up with the characters we know and some new ones, too.
The eight-parter drops on the streaming platform around the world from 14th June.
Here’s the trailer.
