Sony Pictures has released a first-look featurette for the upcoming film The Pope’s Exorcist. The film sees Crowe play The Chief Exorcist of The Vatican and will on cinema screens in April 2023.
Inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican (Crowe), The Pope’s Exorcist follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy’s terrifying possession and ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden.
Julius Avery directs while Franco Nero, Laurel Marsden, River Hawkins, Pablo Raybould, Daniel Zovatto, Alex Essoe, and Ralph Ineson line up among the cast.
Here’s the new featurette.
