A first trailer has been unleashed for Brandon Cronenberg’s upcoming film Infinity Pool, which has just been announced to premiere at next month’s SUndance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

The film follows his first two impressive efforts, Antiviral and Possessor, and stars Alexander Skarsgård, Mia Goth, Cleopatra Coleman, Thomas Kretschmann, Amanda Brugel, and John Ralston.

Here’s the story.

While staying at an isolated island resort, James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive & mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture outside the resort grounds & find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero tolerance policy for crime: either you’ll be executed, or, if you’re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead.

This one hits screens stateside pretty soon after its Sundance premiere, on 27th January.

Here’s the brand new trailer.
