First trailer for Andrew Dominik’s Marilyn Monroe film, ‘Blonde’

Following the announcement that it will receive its world premiere at this year’s Venice Film Festival, the very first trailer for Andrew Dominik’s Marilyn Monroe biopic, in fact a reimagining of her life, Blonde, has just gone online.

The film is set for Netflix in September with Ana de Armas playing the film icon. Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel, Evan Williams, Lily Fisher, Toby Huss, David Warshofsky, Caspar Phillipson, Dan Butler, Sara Paxton, and Rebecca Wisocky are also among the cast.

Based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates, Blonde boldly reimagines the life of one of Hollywood’s most enduring icons, Marilyn Monroe. From her volatile childhood as Norma Jeane, through her rise to stardom and romantic entanglements, Blonde blurs the lines of fact and fiction to explore the widening split between her public and private selves. Written and directed by Andrew Dominik, the film boasts a cast led by Ana de Armas and featuring Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel and Evan Williams.

The long-awaited feature is based on the bestselling novel by Joyce Carol Oates

The film hits Netflix on 28h September.
